We currently have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Financial Crime Investigations Senior Analyst - Quality. This role is responsible for creating and implementing Quality frameworks into Financial Crime Risk Mitigation (FCRM) Financial Crime Investigations and Insider Crime & Integrity Risk, driving complex transformation and change.
Reporting to the Manager of Financial Crime Investigations, you will play a key role in the improvement and management of financial crime risk and review. You will work in partnership with your FCRM and Financial Crime Operations colleagues, internal stakeholders and government agencies to ensure that NAB and our customers are protected from criminal activity. You will achieve this by understanding the AML CTF Program requirements and providing the necessary adjustments to procedures, training, guidance to meet regulatory requirements and due dates.
What you will be doing
- Develop an FCRM quality framework for review of investigations, SMRs and reporting obligations under the AML CTF Act.
- Drive and deploy process improvement strategies across FCRM.
- Review and measure AML CTF quality practices to drive day to day strategic and operational service management and provide transparency on critical regulator service obligations.
- Drive and implement tactical and strategic improvement action plans.
- Achieve optimal quality control outcomes and communicate clearly and effectively with operations and 2L Risk teams.
- Meet NAB's policies and standards including integrity and ethics requirements.
- Increase operational productivity, efficiency and framework knowledge through coaching and training.
- Engage with Senior Management and/or other internal/external stakeholders, as appropriate.
- Participate in continuous improvement strategies for service productivity & utilisation.
- Provide guidance/support and feedback to analysts.
- Present quality findings to FCI, Insider Crime & Integrity Risk and wider FCRM as required.
- Adhere to and fulfil compliance obligations under the AML CTF Act and be responsible for completion of all mandatory learning within the business area.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in continuous improvement strategies for the team
- Provide guidance/support to senior analysts
- Identify and report on risk matters
What you will bring
- At least three years’ experience in a relevant role in Financial Services, locally or globally and/or equivalent experience in investigative or quality roles, such as law enforcement, regulatory environments, government bodies or financial services.
- Demonstrated complex investigation capability required.
- Demonstrated planning, time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
- Proven experience facing into multiple stakeholders and navigating a large organisation.
- Excellent knowledge of (and experience in) Regulatory/Risk Framework and understanding of AML/CTF and Sanctions regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills to provide thorough support for operations.
- Relevant AML/CTF, law enforcement or industry qualifications and accreditations will be looked upon favourable.
- ACAMS, ICA, CCP or relevant qualifications in Financial Crime will be highly regarded.
